Interesting but I'd question the market size of attracting PPV viewership
outside of the "local markets" If you can see/find the Thursday night game for your team in the local market, there's very little need for PPV I would think. If I have moved to a different area of the country I might be interested but in the end, the vast majority of fans don't tune in to say Cincy vs. Jets on a Thursday night. And based on what I read, those metro areas would still be able to get the game without PPV. And it seems as though the younger generations are much less interested overall and they are the ones that PPV and streaming are marketed to. It took a long time for boxing to recover from it's model of going to PPV from the regular airwaves supported by ads
